Study and Work

Courses with Extended Work Visa

Courses at Colleges and Universities with PGWP (Post-Graduation Work Permit), meaning a work permit after completing the program, allow you to extend your stay visa in Canada at the end of your study program.

Students can work up to 20 hours per week during their studies and full-time during the PGWP period.

The study program possibilities are:

  • Certificate: Comparable to a technical course, providing specific skills and readiness to quickly enter the job market.
  • Diploma: Compared to a technologist degree, it offers more in-depth training with emphasis on practical application of knowledge.
  • Bachelor: A four-year undergraduate degree offering specialized education in a specific field of study.
  • Post-Degree: A postgraduate program that gives you the opportunity to enhance knowledge acquired during your undergraduate studies and specialize.
  • Master: Master's programs allow students to enrich their academic experience by choosing an academic or professional program.
  • Doctorate (PhD): Prepares you for the highest academic level, providing a deep and advanced research experience.
This diversity of programs for international students provides high-quality education tailored to their career goals, while the PGWP offers the prospect of applying this knowledge in the Canadian job market after completing studies. The PGWP gives you eligibility to work in Canada for an additional 1 to 3 years after your program.
